Student Earns Spot in MMEA's Eastern District Band

This past Saturday, Jaden H. (7th Grade) auditioned to play the saxophone in the MMEA’s Eastern District’s Jr Festival Band.

Jaden faced a talented and stiff competition from dozens of other public and private 7th – 9th grade students in our area. With just a few limited spots, Jaden had to perform well playing scales, a prepared solo, and a sight reading exercise. Out of a possible score of 159, Jaden achieved 148, earning a spot in the Festival Band. Jaden will now perform in the Jr. Festival Concert at 1:00 pm on March 11th at Lincoln/Sudbury High School.
