Veritas Christian Academy, Inc. is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, Tax ID# 272-354-818. In addition to receiving a receipt for your tax-deductible donation, you will receive an end of the year giving statement that summarizes all of your gifts.
Veritas undergoes an independent audit of its financial records every year. This is an examination of our accounting records and financial statements by an independent auditor.
Veritas also files an annual Form 990, a public tax return, with the IRS. Form 990 is an annual reporting return that provides information about an organization's mission, programs, and finances.
We can accept stock donations. Donating appreciated stock offers the benefit of avoiding capital gains tax. The school, as a non-profit entity, is not liable for tax. With the capital gains tax rate at 15%, this is a win/win situation for you and Veritas. Please consult your tax or financial advisor about your specific situation.
