We are excited to introduce significant curriculum changes and enhancements this year. Please contact us for details. This section is currently being updated to reflect the new changes.
At Veritas Christian Academy, we begin with a sustained focus on the basics — math, reading and writing — the Grammar aspect of Classical Education. Our students are allowed to advance at their own natural level through placement or enrichment. By Grade 5/6, Logic becomes a more integral component of all subjects. Our students learn to analyze and draw inferences from what they are reading, apply sound reasoning principles to History and Science, organize their work, and plan multi-step projects.
By Grade 7/8, the Rhetoric aspect of Classical Education begins to emerge. Students are now required to give high-quality and persuasive presentations, both oral and written, and participate in substantive classroom discussions. At the same time, they are given the opportunity to advance into higher level Spanish, Latin and Math classes, including Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra I.
