ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS

Competitions at Veritas Christian Academy are an important way to give students the opportunity to take risks and stretch themselves. Depending on the venue, they can use their creativity, logic, or critical thinking skills. Annual competition opportunities include: Math, Creative Writing, STEM, Art, Latin, and Spanish.

2022 - 2023

National Latin Exam: 7 Gold Summa Cum Laude, 9 Silver Maxima Cum Laude, 5 Magna Cum Laude, 8 Cum Laude

ASCI Creative Writing Awards: 11 "Superior" awards, 11 "Excellent" awards, and 3 "Good" awards.

43 awards from the ACSI Art competition, with 16 "Superior" awards, 13 "Excellent" awards, and 14 "Good" awards.

National ASCI STEM Awards: 3rd Place & 5th Place

Math Olympics: Reasoning four 1st place awards, three 2nd place awards, two 3rd place awards,

Computation: two 1st place, two 2nd place, three 3rd place, 6 other placements

2021 - 2022

Math Olympics: 1st place in Reasoning & Computation in all grades 3-8. Grades 5-8 swept 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in Reasoning. 2nd place awards in computation for grades 4 and 6.

ACSI Creative Writing: 11 “Superior” writing awards, 8 “Excellent” writing awards, 5 “Good” writing awards
