8th Grade Visit the Nation's Capitol

Updated: Apr 25, 2022

The 8th graders had an amazing trip to Washington DC last week. Here is an excerpt from Mrs. Snoeyink’s blog: “The 8th graders had a wonderful time in DC! We toured the White House, visited ‘The Presidents’ Church’, got soaked for our group photo in front of the Capitol Building, visited the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and the National Archives. Students became spies at the Spy Museum. We also visited the Lincoln Memorial to see it at night. Spectacular! Some of the students ran around the reflecting pool in under 10 minutes! We visited Arlington National Cemetery and we explored some of the Smithsonian Museums. We learned so much, enjoyed each other’s crazy company, ate tons of good food and became Metro subway experts. We love DC!!”

Enjoy these beautiful pictures, including some amazing artistic shots taken by one of our 8th grade students, Mason Berry.
