Academic Competitions

Competitions at Veritas Christian Academy are an important way to give students the opportunity to take risks and stretch themselves. Depending on the venue, they can use their creativity, logic, or critical thinking skills. 

Annual competition opportunities include: Math, Creative Writing, Art, Latin, and Spanish.

National Awards

ACSI Math League

First Place in the nation for Geometry in the 2014 ACSI Math League competition, defeating teams from nearly 100 other Christian schools in 21 states. Second place in the nation for Pre-Algebra in 2016, as well as first place in the Northeast region for Pre-Algebra. 

First Place in the nation for Algebra 1 in the 2013 ACSI Math League competition, earning the highest scores from nearly 100 other Christian schools.

National Latin Exam

Top placements in the National Latin Exam in 2011, 2012, and 2013, including certificates and ribbons in  Introduction to Latin and certificates and medals in Latin I.

National Spanish Exam

Top placements in the National Spanish Exam, including four bronze medals and three silver medals in 2013; and five bronze medals and five honorable  mentions in 2014.

Regional Awards

ACSI Math Olympics - Northeast Region

Top placements for students in Grades 3-8. In 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 several students earned ribbons in the top five spots, including First Place showings and medals awarded for a high level of accuracy.

ACSI Creative Writing Competition - Northeast Region

Top awards in the ACSI Creative Writing Competition, featuring essays, short stories, and poetry, that resulted in two students' published work.
