MIDDLE SCHOOL

Grades 6 - 8
A program that develops thinking, teamwork, and leadership

Step into one of our Middle School classes and you will enter an atmosphere of playful banter and camaraderie, occurring comfortably in the context of an established learning routine. Robust classroom discussions prepare students to imagine themselves on both sides of an issue, whether about the Russian Revolution and its influence on Animal Farm or evidence for Christ’s resurrection. Our Science Fair takes students through the scientific process, from literature review to poster presentations. Students build leadership and oratorical skills through classes like Music, Drama, and Public Speaking, and creativity through Drawing, Sculpture, Photography and Set Design. Expeditionary learning events like overnight retreats and field trips to Washington DC or the Florida Keys connect the classroom learning to the outside world and foster close relationships among the students. By the end of Middle School, students have taken ownership of their own learning and have been nurtured into developing authentic faith. Thoroughly prepared for the most rigorous high school curricula, they leave Veritas solid in their relationships and ready to engage with the world.
