Admissions Process

In keeping with our mission, Veritas enrolls families and not just students. Our school partners with parents in their academic, social, and spiritual goals for their child and works to build a close-knit, involved community.

The application process involves three steps:

  1. Visit the school. Please schedule an appointment or visit an Open House.
  2. Apply online. Complete our online application. A nonrefundable $100 application fee is required to process your application.
  3. Schedule a student visit. The student will spend a day with their future classmates and complete academic evaluations.

To get started, please email Admissions@VeritasMA.org or call (508) 653-1188.

Age Requirement
Enrolling students must meet the following requirements:

  • Kindergarten: 5 years old by December 1
  • Elementary (Grade 1): 6 years old by December 1
  • Upper Elementary and Middle School: Successful completion of the previous grade

Parent Service Requirement
Veritas requires each family to provide 30 hours of volunteer service to the school each academic year. We believe this requirement helps to build an involved, cooperative school community. After all – chaperoning a field trip, teaching an elective class on photography, or helping to organize the Science Fair – gives you a deeper insight into your child's education that you can't get from a newsletter.

Financial Aid
Through the generosity of the parents, board, and friends of Veritas, a tuition assistance program has been established to help families pay for a Veritas education. If you believe you are in need of assistance, check the appropriate box on the application. Once your child has been accepted to Veritas, you will need to apply for aid through the FACTS website and submit copies of your last tax return and most recent W-2 forms.

Timeline

Veritas has a rolling admissions process. Students are accepted on an ongoing basis until a classroom is full. If a class is full, your deposit reserves your spot on a waiting list. Student selections from the waiting list will be made based on the best fit for our Veritas community and not necessarily on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten: Enrollment begins in November
  • Elementary and Middle School (Grades 1-8): Re-enrollment for current students and siblings begins February 1. After re-enrollment has been completed for current families, then we begin accepting new students in mid-February.

Learning Needs and IEPs
Students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or previously identified learning issues must include documentation identifying the special learning needs and a copy of the current IEP. If a child has not been previously identified with special learning needs, but needs are discovered during the admissions process, an evaluation and IEP may be required before we can make an admission decision. Documentation should include all previous test results (academic, physical, psychological, etc.). Psychological evaluations must be less than one year old.

Veritas is not equipped to provide services to students with severe learning, emotional, social, or behavioral issues.

Homeschool Families
Veritas welcomes homeschool students for part-time enrollment, based on available space. Enrollment for homeschool classes begins in July.

Veritas Christian Academy admits qualified applicants of any race, gender, national or ethnic origin to its school and to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available at the school.
