Admissions FAQs

Is Veritas Christian Academy affiliated with a church or denomination?
Veritas Christian Academy is an independent, non-denominational school with a distinctively Christian outlook. Our curriculum includes Bible classes, foundations of Christianity, and church history, as well as a weekly chapel, where we focus on local and world missions. Other classes are taught from a Christian worldview, and we strive to be a community that follows the teachings of Jesus Christ. While we are a Christian school, we are not affiliated with any church or denomination, and our families represent a wide range of faith traditions.

Does Veritas require uniforms?
Veritas Christian Academy has a dress code, which all students are required to wear. Pants or skirts must be navy or khaki. Shirts must be a solid color polo-style shirt. Students may wear other clothes on special days, such as dress down days or gym class. Please refer to the Dress Code chart.

How do parents fulfill their service requirement?
There are a variety of ways parents can fulfill their 15 hour service requirement: painting days, summer cleanup, recess duty, library duty for your child's class, reading buddies, field trip chaperone, International Festival, field day, before school care, sports coach, Friday special interest clubs, substitute teaching, and food for programs and special events. You are welcome to pick the activity that best suits your talents and abilities or suggest a special interest you have. We will record and keep track of each family's service hours. You must complete your 15 hours on or before the last day of school.

What if I can't meet the parent service requirement?
Parents who are unable to volunteer their time may buy out their service requirement. Contact the school for more information about this option.
